And a reading from the joint-winner of the Tibor Jones South Asia Prize – Srikumar Sen on Thursday 24th May at the Nehru Centre.
Srikumar Sen was born in Calcutta and moved to England in 1946 and has worked on the Statesman in Calcutta, as well as the Guardian sports desk and as Boxing Correspondent for the Times in the UK. He is the joint-winner of the Tibor Jones South Asia Prize 2012 with The Skinning Tree.

Amit Chaudhuri
Amit Chaudhuri is the author of five novels, among the many prizes he has won for his fiction are the Commonwealth Literature Prize, the Betty Trask award, the Encore Prize, the Los Angeles Times Book Prize, and the Sahitya Akademi Award. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature and Professor of Contemporary Literature at UEA.
