Most of us believe that identical twins are the same – but are they? Is there a gene for happiness, or for faith? And can your genes be altered through training? These are some of the questions addressed by Tim Spector’s astonishing new book on genetics, Identically Different. This evening, the award-winning Professor of Genetic Epidemiology at King’s College London and Consultant Physician at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital will discuss his work at the cutting edge of genetic research and how it informs Identically Different’s radical challenge to traditional views.

Identically Different is published by Weidenfeld & Nicolson and is out  21st June 2012
