Sophie Lambert has been working with the Secret Forum to bring some of our
most exciting and recently published authors into the Wilderness. Tali
Sharot, author of
The Optimism Bias, will be uncovering myths about the nature of optimism and the way in which our brains are hardwired to look on the bright side. Professor Tim Spector, author of the provocative, insightful and cutting edge new popular science title Identically Different, will explain how minor life events and the choices people make, as well as those made by our ancestors, fuse with our inherited genes to mould us into individuals. In his book Bageye at the WheelColin Grant looks at his father Bageye through the eyes of his ten-year old self in this wonderfully evocative, poignant and exceptionally well written memoir. D E Meredith will present her debut Devoured, the first in the new historical mystery series introducing Hatton and Roumande, London’s first forensic detective and his irreplaceable assistant. And Ben Rawlence, author of Radio Congo, will detail his extraordinary journey through far flung, war torn Congo in search of surprises and stories of hope that the country had to offer despite its horrific, bloody past.
