Tom Darling was born in Oxford in 1978, but he grew up in Norfolk and Cornwall. After university he completed the M.Phil. in Creative Writing at Trinity College, Dublin, where he wrote short fiction and poetry. He has worked variously as a forester, tractor driver, fly-fishing guide, media trainer (with the BBC), and scriptwriter, and has had both articles and photographs published nationally.
His short story The River and the City appeared in To Hell with Journals. Glass People is his first novel. He lives in Dublin.
