The Tibor Jones Pageturner Prize 2013 was launched in November 2012 with the aim of unearthing exciting and original fiction from debut unrepresented novelists.
The panel of judges for the Tibor Jones Pageturner Prize 2013 consist of Sophie Lambert, Literary Agent at Conville & Walsh, James Pusey, Rights Consultant at Tibor Jones & Associates and Independent Booksellers Jasper Sutcliffe, Senior Buyer at Foyles, Roy Butlin of Herne Hill & Clapham Books and author Evie Wyld of Review Bookshop in Peckham Rye.
The inaugural Pageturner Prize was launched in 2011 and received an extraordinary response with over 400 manuscripts submitted and culminated in Gabriel Gbadamosi being announced winner for his wonderfully evocative novel Vauxhall, which was published by Telegram Books on 6th May 2013.

Nathan Filer’s The Shock of the Fall – the runner-up in 2011 – is another hotly anticipated debut, and will be published by Harper Fiction 23rd May 2013.

The 2013 Pageturner Prize was publicised largely through word of mouth and a social marketing campaign via Facebook and Twitter and there was an amazing response with over 200 entries across all genres from YA to literary fiction. After much sifting an eclectic long-list was drawn up and after much agonising discussion by the judges was whittled down to a short-list of five.

The winner of the prize is to be announced June 2013 and will receive a prize of £1,000.
